Information Creation as Process Topic: Child abandonment in South Africa Information creation as process refers to the understanding that the information is created and produced with the purpose to convey a message and is shared via various delivery methods. The reason I chose my topic was to raise awareness on the issues related to child abandonment in South Africa. Earlier this year when my colleagues and I visited one of the libraries we came across a very disturbing situation, a newborn was dumped in a rubbish bin outside the library. As a mother, I asked myself, why would you carry a child for 9 months only to kill her/him after? one of the things that came to mind was that it was because of different desperate situations and people or rather mothers lack information on how they can deal with such situations better.
