Activity
|
Identify the contribution that particular articles, books, and other
scholarly pieces make to disciplinary knowledge
|
To prepare for presentations, learners will have to find 2 scholarly articles on the topic they are presenting and
identify 2 conferences that recently took place on the discussion of child
abuse issues and what was discussed and said on the topic
|
Learners will recognize that they are both contributors and consumers
of scholarly information
|
During the presentations, all groups will be required to engage on the conversation and give their own
experiences of child abuse incidents that they once came across in their
communities and how they would have dealt with the situation as the professionals.
|
Learners will recognize that a given scholarly work may not represent
the only or even the majority perspective on the issue
|
Look at least 1 website (like Social Development) and make notes of
the topics discussed relating to your topic.

Well done Fikiswa. This is much better now. You can be more specific with you third activity. For instance, they can find a website which discusses chiled abuse and they can also engage with professionals on the subjust either on blogs, at clinics, Twitter etc.
